Personal Description:

I am currently studying a Masters degree in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Manchester. I am a languages graduate from the University of Nottingham, majoring in French and Spanish language. Upon completion of my degree I spent 2 years living in Valencia, Spain, where I worked as a translator and English teacher. My passion for languages and love of teaching have been the primary reasons behind the successful years I have spent living and working with languages.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching Spanish, French and English as a foreign language. As part of my degree I spent one year teaching in a secondary school in Toulon, France. During the past two years I have taught English in Valencia, Spain, and have tutored French and Spanish to A level and university students. Consequently, I have gained experience teaching a variety of languages across all age groups. As well as my experience as a teacher, I also have much experience as a student of languages. I am therefore well aware of the demands placed on both student and teacher and have an in-depth understanding of the most productive and enjoyable way to learn a language.

Tutoring Approach:

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and tutoring, and I am passionate about languages. I believe there are many ways to learn a language; it all depends on the specific needs and capabilities of the student. My experiences teaching have enabled me to meet a wonderfully diverse mix of people and develop a flexible approach that I can adapt to any student. Above all languages are great fun, and I firmly believe that should be reflected in the way they're taught.
