Personal Description:
I am an experienced primary school teacher, based in central Witney and live with my family, including 2 children, aged 8yrs and 14yrs and 8 guinea pigs! I currently work as a supply teacher in the Witney and surrounding area. My main subject is art, which I specialised in at teacher training college, although of course at primary level I teach all subjects!
Teaching Experience:
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with 11 years teaching experience. Based in central Witney, I have worked as both a permanent class teacher at infant level, whilst for the past several years, I have worked at keystages 1 and 2, teaching children from the ages of 3-11years at a variety of local schools in Witney and surrounding areas! With a broad range of experience at both keystages, I have a good knowledge of the expectations at each stage.
Tutoring Approach:
From my own experience of having tutoring as a youngster, I know how important it is to offer a worthwhile, yet enjoyable learning experience. I aim to offer just that, as well as a warm welcome and a relaxing, fun environment to work in! I believe in offering a positive experience with a sensitive approach whilst I believe in giving praise and gentle encouragement to recognise individuals' achievements at their own level.
