Personal Description:

My name is Filomena and I am a native Italian girl graduated in Comparative Languages and Cultures. I have attended a course to teach Italian to foreigners, I have a long experience in studying languages so I well know the difficulties that one can have in learning a foreign language!

I really like to travel and discover new cultures and traditions. I have been to England many times, for studying and working and the last time I have spent three months in Leeds for an internship at the "Temple Newsam". I have also been many times to China in the last years for studying and working.
I am very patient and relaxed person, openmind, hardworking, polite and ready to face new challanges. I like to build bridges between differend cultures, I can be your connection to Italy, my beautiful country! I know a lot about my culture, traditions, food, music, art... I do not want to be just a "Language teacher" but something more, give you the best approach to my country!

Teaching Experience:

I have taught Italian in an immigration centre in Italy for the basic level. I have already taught Italian when I was in China and I prepared a class of chinese students to the CILS exam for the level A1. I also do tandem with some university erasmus students and I am always ready to help all my foreign friends with Italian language!

Tutoring Approach:

I can be your Italian Tutor for all levels. One-to-one lesson or other arrangements can be provided. Basically, I try to understand first which use of the language you want to have and then start to arrange a way of teaching (for example: if you need the language just for travelling in Italy or if you need to learn Italian in an Accademic way, or just to keep your knowledge of Italian).

I can give you a lot of online resorces to improve your language skills or we can follow your books! I can also provide you lessons on everything concerning Italy and Italian culture.
