Personal Description:

I am currently undertaking a masters degree at Durham university. I am currently in my second year.

I am a polite, kind and approachable person. I have a good ability to communicate with other students (as i am myself one) and i believe this is a large help when privately tutoring a student.

I am available in the week to tutor in Durham.

I am available to tutor some weekends in Notts/Derbys.

During holidays I am available to tutor in Notts/Derbys.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored several one off students on the Internet occasionally. Due to heavy timetables tutoring possibilities have been limited.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that one 2 one tutoring is vital in helping a student gain their full potential. This can be split into many areas such as directly going over a certain topic of the subject or working with the student on past exam papers (aimed more at GCSE/A level students). To help more advanced students expand their knowledge further i believe it is necessary to start to link different topics together to help them truly get a deeper understanding of their subject.

Homework can be set if it is deemed necessary. However if a student has shown a full solid grasp of the topic, it may not be needed.

Qualifications:

• A levels: Physics (grade A), Maths (grade A) Further Maths (grade A), Computer Science (Grade A)
• AS levels: Biology (Grade A)
• Advanced Extension Awards (These are the highest possible qualifications prior to degree level): Maths (Merit), Critical Thinking (Merit)
• 1st class Masters degree (Mphys) from Durham University
