Personal Description:
I have a double degree in International Business and Economics from an American institution from which I graduated in 2006. In addition, I took 6 graduate courses in Economics from the State University of New York in 2007. I just finished a Master in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics.
I am originally from Mauritius, which accounts for my ability to speak both French and English fluently.
Teaching Experience:
Tutored a student from September 2008 to June 2009 in Economics (Edexcel) - Student received an A in Economics.
Tutored college students - February 2004 to May 2006 (Ramapo College of New Jersey)
Teaching Assistant - August 2007 to May 2008 (State University of New York)
Tutoring Approach:
People have different learning styles. Each group has to be catered for, whether it be visual or auditory, and this is what I aimed to do to the best of my abilities. I have been trained in the past on learning styles and the best approaches to teaching. I believe I possess what it takes to be a great tutor and communicator.
