Information About Rachel:
Personal Description:
I am a friendly, well experienced tutor, having successfully tutored both family members and independent students in a wide range of subjects. I am a qualified Midwife working at UCLH and also I have a degree in Medical Science and Humanities. I am currently undertaking part time postgraduate study in Tropical Medicine at the London school of Hygiene.
I achieved 9 A* in my GCSE's and gained 4 A's and a B in A Level Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English language and literature and Religious studies. I have two first class honours degrees.
I have experience of working with children as a nanny and play worker in the past so can communicate and interact with children easily which is often vital when children need to gain confidence in academic subjects.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored both family members and 6 independent students. All students advantaged greatly from my tutoring with 4 achieving 3 level 5's in Key stage three SAT exams and many achieving A* and A's at GCSE level.
Tutoring Approach:
I tailor lessons to the students needs and abilities, providing past paper questions and relevant text books. I am very patient and use a wide range a techniques to teach students all that they need to know. I always begin tutoring by finding the individual students best ways of learning be it kinetic, visual or audio and then apply as best possible to achieve maximum results. I always maintain a relaxed approach to tutoring, i have found through my experience that it is the best way for both tutor and student, a friendly and calm atmosphere brings the best results!
