Sarah - Salford tutor
Information About Sarah:
Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic and committed tutor and I really enjoy working with students to help them achieve their best. I aim to be accessible and easy to work with and like to communicate fully with parents about the progress of their child.
I am conscientious and reliable and spend significant amounts of time preparing for each session that I teach so that each lesson is specifically tailored to the individual student. I have a very successful track record in helping students succeed and make progress, even when learning difficulties or lack of confidence have prevented progress in the past.
A discount in fees is available for students prepared to travel to my home for tuition.
Teaching Experience:
Four years experience of primary teaching in the state sector.
Experience of supporting students with special needs in both state and independent sectors.
Five and a half years experience of private tutoring.
Experience of tutoring students with special needs; e.g. dyslexia, language developmental delay, head injury.
Experience of tutoring for entrance exams and 11+.
Member of the Association of Tutors
Tutoring Approach:
I have an enthusiastic and encouraging approach to tutoring and aim to build good supportive relationships with my tutees and their parents.
I like to be flexible, imaginative and creative in presenting the required material in an effective way that makes learning easier for a particular student. I try to play to each individual student's strengths and particular preferred learning styles.
I am good at helping a student gain confidence when for a variety of reasons s/he has lost faith in her/his ability to succeed.
