Personal Description:

Fully qualified teacher with 25 years experience of teaching FRENCH, GERMAN & SPANISH to GCSE, AS LEVEL and A LEVEL in schools and colleges. I have also prepared many groups for Cambridge exams in ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
I currently teach MODERN LANGUAGES (to A Level) and RELIGIOUS STUDIES (to A Level) in a Sixth Form College.
I teach ADULT LEARNERS too, at all levels, both for GENERAL LANGUAGE and BUSINESS LANGUAGE.
I have prepared hundreds of youngsters over the years for GCSEs and AS/A LEVELS in these subjects and am very familiar with the demands of these courses and exams.

Teaching Experience:

I teach in a Birmingham Sixth Form College where I work as Head of French
I have taught pupils/students in UK schools and Colleges over the last 25 years, specialising particularly in MODERN LANGUAGES at GCSE and AS/A Levels.
My teaching experience has been mainly in UK schools and colleges but has also included 5 years living and teaching in France, Spain and Germany.
I worked at Stafford College of FE for 9 years where I was head of MODERN LANGUAGES
I have been an Examiner for MODERN LANGUAGES at GCSE and A Level with a major Examination Board.

Professional and friendly approach, looking for real, measurable progress and increased confidence for the learner
Most young learners need a tutor who understands the requirements of the GCSE / AS / A Level exams and can train students in tasks that will prepare them for these
I find that students often need their confidence boosting and many discover that they know more than they realised.
Adults also learn fast and are often surprised to find they are more able than they thought
