Personal Description:
The subjects I teach are Politics, Philosophy and Sociology on which I have been studying for nearly 6 years in academic level. While doing my master's and PhD studies I have also been teaching Turkish. I am exceptionally confident in teaching Turkish not only because it is my native tongue but also I have been writing, editing and translating articles and poems, and thereby obtained a very advanced knowledge of the grammatical and syntactical rules of the language. My BA degree is in Political Science and my MSc is in Political Theory (from LSE). At the moment I am a continuing PhD student in Humanities department at the University of London. I have voluntarily, academically and professionally taught in several subjects and I am preparing to be an academic lecturer mainly in Nietzsche, Kant, Aesthetics, Ethics and Political Philosophy.
Teaching Experience:
I have been working as a private tutor in Alphatutors and UK Tutors since 2005. But before that I was giving private courses in Politics, Philosophy and Turkish. I teach at all levels from GCSE to adult learners.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is both traditional and alternative since while I create outlines for each class and assign homework, I also apply non-conventional methods like discussing the logic of every rule in order to teach the student the substance or the core of the subject. This enables them to approach the subject and gives them power and motivation to interpret the questions or problems using the knowledge they acquire from the lessons.
