Personal Description:
Before moved to the UK, I was trained and also worked as a Mandarin teacher for a language institute in Beijing. With over 3 year's intensive working experience in Beijing, I had taught various classes from beginners to advanced class, from oral speaking to business class.
Teaching Experience:
In the UK, I act as a Mandarin teacher in Edinburgh Chinese School over the weekends, teach pupils at beginner level.
Besides that, I also tutor private students at home around Edinburgh, offering various lessons to meet individual needs.
In order to advance my teaching profession, I go back to China to get trained regularly each year. Recently just back from Beijing this summer for an overseas Mandarin teacher training course organised by Chinese authority(The office of Chinese Language Council International), held by BlCU( Beijing Language & Culture University), which is a highly respected university specially teach foreign students leaning Mandarin as a second language.
Tutoring Approach:
I have taught many foreign students around the world. I am quite familiar with their common problems of learning Chinese and have my own techniques to cope with them. I am willing to pay extra attention to deal with students individual problems and cater their individual needs. My teaching style is relaxing and interesting. Various Knowledge of Chinese enable you not only learn the language but also a tour of Chinese culture.
