Personal Description:
I am a creative, open-minded and adventurous individual who loves to learn and to share my enthusiasm for learning with others. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy meeting people from all over the world. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, hill-walking, travelling, painting and writing stories.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked for a leading language institution in Thailand, teaching English as a foreign language to a range of ages and abilities. As an English teacher, I was responsible for creating my own lesson plans and for teaching fun, interactive lessons to classes of up to 40 students. I have also worked as a voluntary Classroom Assistant at local schools and have 2.5 years experience teaching English to adults, working freelance as a private tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to make learning English fun and interactive. I enjoy teaching English and strive to help students enjoy the lesson and get as much out of it as possible. I adapt lessons to suit the needs of the student, whether their priority is spoken or written English. I offer advice on how to integrate into local community and cultural life, to help students find ways of practising what they learn, increase their confidence and expand their vocabulary outwith the lesson.
