Personal Description:

I am a French native speaker.
I have lived in England for 5 years where I worked as a French Assistant and as a Language Teacher after having obtained my teaching degree. I have moved to Edinburgh recently.

I would describe myself as enthusiastic, creative and hard working

I love discovering new places and learning new languages.
I love going out with my friends, going to the cinema (especially asian movies)

Teaching Experience:

From October 2001 until May 2003 I was a French assistant in secondary schools in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I helped pupils to improve their spoken French.

From September 2004 until August 2006, I taught in a secondary school in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. I taught French and Spanish to pupils aged 11 to 18.
I enjoyed teaching the smaller ones because they are very enthusiastic about learning someting new. However, I prefer GCSE and A-Levels as they have more vocabulary and therefore it is easier to have a conversation with them.

I have been a supply teacher for Languages in Edinburgh since April 2007.I have worked in various schools.

I am currently tutoring 13 and 11 year old pupils who feel that they don't learn enough at school.

Tutoring Approach:

my tutoring depends on the needs of the tutee.
Some people need to improve their spoken skills whereas some can spek a good level of French but might need more grammatical practice.

I do the tutoring only speaking French. It might seem scary but my previous tutees found it very useful because they got used to the words.

I have several textbooks some for beginners, some for more advanced levels.
I create my own resources as well.

I usually practise the 4 skills : listening, speaking, reading and writing but again if the tutee want to concentrate on only one I can do that as well.

Qualifications:

• PGCE for Secondary Schools to teach Languages in june 2004
• Licence d'Anglais (Equivalent to English BA)
