Personal Description:
My name is Wiebke and I am originally from Germany. I now live in Morpeth and have two daughters. If I'm not busy being a parent I love reading, walking and cooking.
Teaching Experience:
I have completed the first semester of teacher training for secondary schools in Scotland including a 6 week placement in a school. I also worked as an assistant teacher for German at a sixth form college in Hull, England in 2001/02 when doing my degree in English. I also did tutoring when I was in High School myself. I am a qualified teaching assistant and have worked as a private tutor for a few years now. I enjoy teaching, especially on a one-to- one basis.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that everybody is able to learn languages, it just depends on the way it is taught. Learning has to be relevant and fun and I am very committed to finding the right way of teaching for everybody. Whether it is to help someone who has to learn German in school or University and wants a good grade, someone who wants to improve their job prospects by learning a langauge or someone who wants to do it just for fun, I will devise a fun and successful teaching plan.
