Personal Description:
I am 48yrs of age and have a first degree and Ph.D in Chemistry. I am also a fully qualified chemistry teacher. I enjoy tutoring to help others enjoy chemistry as much as I do.
Teaching Experience:
I have a range of experience from helping in schools in inner London, Dundee to tutoring undergraduates at the University of Bristol. I have been tutoring since Sept 2006 in N5, higher and advanced higher chemistry. I have also taught these courses in a range of schools.
Tutoring Approach:
I offer friendly relaxed lessons tailored to the tutees needs. I find the main area of difficult is calculations and it is necessary to spend a large proportion of time covering and recovering these areas of the syllabus to ensure exam confidence and success. I find an approachable manner also helps tutees to ask questions which maybe difficult to ask in a classroom setting regarding their level of understand.
