Personal Description:
I am 31 years old and live in the west end of Glasgow. In my spare time i enjoy taking part in amatuer dramatics and dance classes.
Teaching Experience:
I have a degree in primary school teaching from Strathclyde University. I also have a postgraduate certificate in Philosophy with Children. i It was a four year course and i had a teaching placement every year. Since graduating i have been teaching in primary schools for eight years. In my probation year of teaching I was nominated by my head teacher as teacher of the year for the Daily Record Education Awards. I am currently out on secondmnet working for Education Scotland which is the National Agency charged with helping to deliver the new curriculum and also to inspect schools across Scotland.
Tutoring Approach:
I have tutored two children for four years and my approach to tutoring is to make it a fun experience. Learning should be fun and i like to encourage and facilitate children to think of learning as a way to discover different and interesting things. The world is changing sinificantly and I aim to equip the children I teach with the knowledge, skills and attributes to help them to achieve their potential.
