During my classes you will experience a variety of exercises including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary builder, listening. In 2004 I graduated from the University of Adam Mickiewicz, one of the most prestigious in Poland,with an MA in English Philology.While I was a student I began teaching English as a foreign language in primary school. It was a very challenging and rewarding period beginning my fascination with different ways of teaching and learning strategies. After a year I got the job of an English lecturer in a private language school that gave me an opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages.
While still teaching in Astra language school, after my graduation, I decided to start working with teenagers in secondary school toward their final Matura (A-levels in the UK) exams. Being convinced that I have made the right career choice for myself in 2006 I decided to come to the British Isles in pursuit of new and challenging opportunities in your school system that will enhance my teaching abilities and further my professional career. Not only have I assisted and helped the teacher during lessons but also successfully translated and interpreted from and into Polish. The experience I got there was a great personal challenge and gave me the profound knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery, Reception) and The National Curriculum (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2).

My interest in French language dates back to my years in high school, where I excelled in French. My strong foundation in French gave me the necessary skills to test out of the beginning French courses at the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin. When I began my undergraduate career, I've been given the opportunity to increase my interest and knowledge in French. While studying for my bachelor's degree, I took a variety of courses that provided me with a well-rounded education. I earned my BA in French in 2007. In the end of my BA course I passed my final exam in field of literature. During my course I had the opportunity to spend some time in France. This experience allowed me to improve my French while at the same time mature as individual. I've also had the possibility to undergo the following placements: observation placement on the second year in Primary School no. 7 with integration classes and pedagogical placement on the third year in three types of school: Primary School, Gymnasium and Secondary School in Lublin. I also achieved my BA degree in Tourism at an Academy of Theology and Humanity Studies, which taught me a great deal about Middle Eastern countries, of their historical importance to many religious and the modern day conflict brought on because of this importance. Moreover, during these years I visited a number of European countries, learning about history, geography and politics. I undertook a Pre-Masters course at UCB in Birmingham, which I finished this year.
One of the things that I am proud of is the voluntary translation from Polish to French which I have made for one of Polish websites. In the end of my BA degree I have wrote a dissertation which has 151 pages where I proved my curiosity. I can provide it as the pdf. document if needed.

Teaching Experience:
I've had the possibility to undergo the following placements: observation placement on the second year in Primary School no. 7 with integration classes and pedagogical placement on the third year in three types of school: Primary School, Gymnasium and Secondary School in Lublin. During my placement, I got acquainted with the organization of work in primary, gymnasium and secondary schools. I broadened my abilities in lesson planning and acquired experience in conducting classes. During the discussion with tutor I was able to analyze teacher's work and pupils' reactions. I acquired abilities to analyze my own work and its results. For each lesson I prepared a detailed synopsis approved by the tutor and I prepared teaching materials for the lessons. After each lesson I prepared commentaries to it. After each stage of the placement I prepared detailed reports which I presented for evaluation. I am a Research Student in the School of Social and Political Studies, University of Edinburgh with 5 years of teaching experience. I have a degree in Philosophy and am currently pursuing a PhD in Politics. As a Polish native speaker I can offer tuition in Polish.

Teaching Experience:
During the last year I have been working as a teaching assistant at University of Edinburgh. As part of that I offered training in reading skills (interpretation) as well as essay writing. Before that, I have taught both at University level as well as secondary and high school in Poland (both in Polish and English). For the last 2 two years I have also been working as a self-employed language teacher in English and Polish.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a positive but demanding approach to teaching. I believe that students can and should take responsibility for their development, and the role of the teacher is to direct them in this effort. In teaching languages aim to try a balanced approach between communicative activities and grammar. However, tutoring is all about individual approach. Teaching Experience:
I began teaching English to secondary school pupils at the age of 21. Then I started working at a language school where I used to teach English to adults and children age 4-7, while still tutoring students age 16-19.
In 2005 I was awarded a 3-year PhD scholarship in the UK. It included teaching Polish at the University of Surrey, which I have been doing up till now. I teach Polish to students of various nationalities and ages.

Tutoring Approach:
I have always been a very patient teacher with a head full of ideas. I try to recognise the strongest sides to the students I teach. Each of us has a strong "channel" through which we learn. Some of us prefer writing tasks more than listening exercises. Some prefer visuals and others will be happy to learn a list of vocabulary items by heart. I try to get to know my students and work according to their learning nature.
My tutoring is always full of fun and discovering new areas, but also setting goals and trying to reach them.

I am currently a second year Film and Media student at MMU. I was born in the Netherlands from Polish parents and lived there for 17 years. At home we spoke Polish and on Saturday's I attended Polish school. After 17 years my family decided to move to Poland, and I finished my school there. Basically I was raised bilingual, so I know that it can be sometimes hard to try to let your child speak a different language at home than at school.

Basically learning something should be fun, interesting, and not boring. One has to be patient and know how to level with the children yet still maintaining some respect. When I attended Saturday school I often had one- to -one sessions with my teacher. Thanks to that, I realise how important and intensive a tutoring session can be.

I graduated from the University last year, so I don't have that much of a teaching experience, however I was teaching Japanese and Chinese in Poland as a private tutor and also, I worked for a few months as a teaching assistant in the department of Japanese Studies at the University of Iceland.

Tutoring Approach:
Before I charge students I will conduct an assessment of their needs and type of lessons they want to have. Then a plan will be suggested and details of charges and times will be agreed. My approach to tutoring is that consistency is key. Motivation is another key aspect and the tutors role includes motivating their student.
I also think that studying should be fun, so I always try to make my lesson as interesting and entertaining as possible.
