I have 19 years teaching experience within a primary school setting. I have taught all primary age groups from 4-11 years. During this time I have planned and assessed children and used current SAT's materials.

Tutoring Approach:
I treat every student as an individual and asses their needs accordingly. I plan my lessons to suit their needs using my up to date knowledge of the curriculum and assessment criteria. My lessons are fun and interactive wherever possible using both written and practical techniques. I have found that children gain confidence in their ability and begin to move forward and keep up with the work in class.

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Acting which I received at Birmingham School of Acting. I have 11 years performing experience; this combined with the inspiring training I absorbed in drama school gives me extensive knowledge and insight into my specialised area. During my training I was awarded a Laurence Olivier Bursary by the Society of London Theatre for being one of the most promising actors in the UK. I was also nominated for the Carleton Hobbs Radio Award, recording at the BBC. I have attended workshops at the Royal Shakespeare Company and was extremely privileged to be selected to perform & attend workshops at Shakespeare's Globe at the Sam Wanamaker Festival in 2010.

I am a professional actor, director & writer as well as a tutor; so am able to understand the importance of each perspective and explain and explore the possibilities within these areas.

A qualified teacher of Russian and Art, I taught in secondary schools and professional colleges before moving to UK in 1994. Since then, I've worked in UK in various educational settings as well as engaging in private tuition.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 20 years of experience supervising learning, teaching and tutoring children and adults of varied abilities and backgrounds both in the UK and abroad.
Since 2020 I have been working with National Tutoring Programme providing English and Maths tuition for children in KS1 - KS2.

I'm a master student from China majoring in human nutrition in Glasgow university. Before this, in my undergraduate university in China I have worked as a proofreader of dictated draft from speech records for student union. I'm good at wording and grammar. Recently I learned a little German and Arabic to experience how people speaking varies around the world and also inspired by these teachers as to how to approach to a language from 0.

Teaching Experience:
During this year I have taught a classmate mandarin from 0. He is a Scottish. However, he is keen to learn a wide variety of languages. When he found Korean and Malay easier he gave up mandarin. Such a worldwide culture vulture! Anyway, no matter you learn mandarin for culture, travel, work, yellow-face friends, curiosity, or just Chinese restaurants, you are all warmly welcome! I can teach you from the basic pronunciation which is like singing to beautiful Chinese characters which is like dancing.....

Tutoring Approach:
I'm only available from September to December 2016. I'm friendly and very patient. If you have time for homestudying I can teach more during tutorial; if not, we will practice more together to consolidate memory. Language is for communication, absolutely not for getting a high score!

I studied Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia, worked as an artist for several years before deciding on a career in the catering industry.
I worked as a cook/chef for a few years before moving to Madrid, Spain to teach English to students of all ages and work as a part-time tour guide/manager for an English company.
I also do Spanish/English translations and am currently writing online educational material.

My classes are catered to the students' needs. I tend to prefer teaching young children with a more dynamic, creative and hands-on approach, incorporating various mediums such as art and crafts, story writing, plays and puppetry and simple film making.
However, if the student requires help with homework or exam preparation, then the classes are catered to those needs.

I am an experienced and now retired teacher who moved back to my home in Chichester a few years ago having spent the previous 11 years teaching in an IAPS school in Nairobi, Kenya. Before that I taught at Westbourne House Prep School for 9 years as a Year 2 class teacher. I am a family man with three daughters.I try hard in all I do and have progressed through state schools to gain a teaching certificate (based on three years of training with assessment of teaching ability),an honours degree in maths and science,a diploma in health education,and an M.Phil. based on field work in educational techniques.For my hobby,I play tennis and National Service.
Besides face to face tutoring,I also do postal tuition.As an honours graduate of the Open University I know this can be effective.I find the initial requirements by telephone then send a worksheet by post.When the student returns this I mark with full comment and send back with a full work out of each question.Some questions are designed by me and some are from previous papers.In my view this method is better than online as there is more time for reflection.I charge just £22 for postal tuition and will tutor students from anywhere in Great Britain or abroad

I'm a recent graduate of the university of Liverpool having studies chemistry BSc. I picked the course since i enjoyed chemistry at both GCSE and A level, creating a spark within me and led me to picking the challenging yet rewarding course. I'm currently employed as a Data Scientist working in London, and I've decided to pass on the passion in studying science to the younger generation by deciding to tutor.
