I have many years of private tuition and before that I taught in college on courses ranging from GCSE to Degree level.

Tutoring Approach:
I tailor lessons to the student's need. Wherever possible I use exam questions and I can help with homework if necessary. Confidence in answering exam questions using past papers is a priority.

Before I start tutoring I always prefer to arrange a meeting to have a chat about what your requirements/preferences/needs are first. I have been tutoring GCSE English for many years in a college. I keep up to date with current changes in the syllabus and regularly attend training with my organisation. My last observation resulted in an outstanding grade. I am used to working with groups of students and giving 1 to 1 tuition. I believe that constructive feedback is the key to progress and would expect my student to complete homework so that I can monitor understanding.
I have a vast range of resources and also use IT.

Teaching Experience:

I formerly taught English as a Foreign Language, and have a Diploma in this area of teaching (DELTA), so can offer EFL to adults or children. This includes English conversation, pronunciation and help with proof-reading.
