Personal Description:
Leica Ambassador, Award winning Photographer, Author, a Journalist and Curator. Getty Contributor and Billingham Bag friend.
Specialising in Portrait, British Manufacturing and Motor Sport photography.
My passion for documenting areas of culture that are often considered to be eccentric or endangered stem from being brought up in a family who produced theatrical costumes. I trained as a photographer and then a journalist and now combines these two skills to bring an in-depth study to each of her projects. My overarching ambition is to ensure that Britain's living national treasures are acknowledged by a wider audience.
Currently I am writing a radio drama about The Honourable Mildred Bruce, the first woman to win the Monte Carlo Rally in 1927.

Tutoring Approach:
I want to ensure everyone has fun whilst learning photography. For me it is a passport for being inquisitive and I ensure the student learns in a way that they achieve something every lesson.

Lara supported our son in developing his Photography Skills for his A Level Photography course. This included supporting the production of his photography books.
Lara provided both inspiration and practical support. Her personal knowledge of the Photographers made development of those artists ideas much more straight forward. She provided her own inspiration for him in developing his images including the use of lithographic and box brownie approaches. She guided his approach to the photography books, ensuring both layout and linkage to artist was sensible and appropriate.
