Personal Description:

I hold Post Graduate Diploma, BSc Hons, & CELTA and am an easy going person who enjoys helping people acheive their goals and working with motivated individuals & groups.
I believe in T.E.A.M: Together Everyone Achieves More and believe that learning should be personal, memorable and enjoyable. I have a wide variety of cultural expereince having lived in a variety of countries and am culturally sensitive.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught ESL/EFL in Japan, South Africa and UK and am familiar witht the difficulties learners from non Latin alphabet using language face. I have taught children from 2 years old upwards as well as university students and adult proffessionals. In addition I have taught and tutored PE in South Africa.



Tutoring Approach:

I adjust my teaching method according to the preferred learning style of the student. I often use an empowerment approach to tutoring enabling the student to take ownership of their learning experience maximising its effectiveness. Enjoyment & fun are an important element in my teaching style.
During EFL/ESL lessons I use a variety of games, grammar activities and music to help the student aquire the language in a memorable and useful way.
When teaching other subjects I use a variety of skill to help the student mind map the information making it easily accessable.
