Nadia - Swindon tutor

Information About Nadia:

Personal Description:

My name is Nadia and I am a qualified primary school teacher currently taking time of teaching to work in youth work. I have a Bsc hons in Psychology (2:1) from Birmingham university (2007) and specialised in childrens development and the development of infant language. I teach art in my spare time and have a great deal of experience working with children both in a voluntary and teaching environment.

Teaching Experience:

I am a newly qualified primary school teacher, I gained my qualifications from the university of Birmingham in June 2008 following a year of teaching practice. During my summers I work as an art studio director running the art program and teaching in America at a summer camp called 'Camp Mah-kee-nac' working with children aged 5-16yrs. I have experience teaching in homeless shelters and working with vulnerable children in a grief counsellor role while teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very positive teacher focusing very much on what the child/student IS able to grasp confidently and building on from there. I am not a fan of continuous testing to assess and prefer mind mapping and more creative means to reinforce learning. I am confident in my abilities to move a pupil on and support learning.
