Personal Description:
Hello there
I am 25 and currently working in London as a Russian-English translator and editor. I graduated from Sheffield University in 2007 with a 1st Class Honours in Russian, Spanish and Swedish and as part of my course I spent a year studying at universities in St. Petersburg and Seville. Before moving to London I also worked for one year at a translation agency in Moscow.
Over years of study I have consistently achieved excellent grades and I would confidently be able to explain grammar and the techniques necessary for oral and written exams in Russian and Spanish.
My interests are varied ranging from contemporary dance to martial arts. At university I spent three years acting in a Spanish theatre group and I am currently a member of the London Bubble Theatre Group. I also enjoy doing art, reading and travelling.
Teaching Experience:
Tutoring a candidate for GCSE Russian for a period of 3 months February-May 2010.
Volunteer tutoring primary school children at an after-school club in Sheffield.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very flexible and am able to adapt to meet required needs such as grammar, vocabulary or general help. I have a wide variety of Russian and Spanish language material including textbooks, worksheets, literature, film and media.
I am highly organised and would be able to plan lessons effectively in order to provide the best assistance.
I would also be happy to meet free of charge at first in order to discuss any requirements or areas that you would like to particularly work on.
