Information About Rana:
Personal Description:
I am a PhD student in Psychology at the University of York.
French and Arabic are my mother tongues. I am able to cater for all levels of language learning, from the beginner up to the university students and adults. I can also teach a broad range of language skills, from reading, writing, listening and speaking to literature study and exam preparation, plus university entry.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught both Arabic and French on one to one basis as well as small groups.
I have taught English as a foreign language to students of different abilities aged between 5 and 22.
I also have tutored Social psychology courses among other introductory psychology courses to A Level students and University students.
I am a special educator and have 6 years experience teaching students with special needs (ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism...)
Tutoring Approach:
Being an active and enthusiastic person myself, I try as much as possible to make my teaching enjoyable and fun, not ignoring the importance of having a focused and relaxing atmosphere.
I like using a variety of resources in my teaching from the basic such as text books and workbooks to more life resources such as radio, music and films.
