Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a B.Ed (Hons) in Primary Education and an M.Ed in Education. Both degrees were attained from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. I am currently working as a supply teacher for Glasgow City Council and East Renfrewshire Council and have been disclosure checked by both. I am currently in my final year of the EdD in Education at the University of Strathclyde. As a continuing student of the university, I have access to a vast range of educational books, resources and media that can be used for effective teaching and learning.

Teaching Experience:

I graduated with my B.Ed (Hons) in 2002 and have been working as a long term and short term supply teacher since then. Most of my teaching placements have been in Glasgow City Council. As a result of working in a variety of schools, I have observed and practised many different types of teaching methodologies.

Tutoring Approach:

As a teacher and tutor, I fully understand the need to adopt appropriate methodologies in accordance with the child's individual learning style and personality. I have invested in my own up-to-date commercial resources for language and maths. The language resources include the most recent textbooks about spelling, grammar and punctuation, comprehension and writing skills. The maths resources include the most recent Scottish Heinemann Maths textbooks. I also provide all the materials and stationery required for teaching and learning. As well as my own resources, I have access to a wide variety of books, materials and media at the university of Strathclyde which can be borrowed and used for tutoring sessions.
