Personal Description:
Dear tutee.
I graduated from two universities in the UK and my highest qualification is a Master of Arts in education, applied linguistic. I have always been very determined and committed teacher as I have always had a passion for English and would like to teach others. Having completed two universities during the past 6 years, I have proven to be able to stick to tight deadlines, work under pressure and produce work of high quality.
I have also done various training courses in further Education teaching. I have been in teaching for seven years. I am an enthusiastic, qualified English teacher who is able to effectively communicate with students/children from diverse backgrounds or varying degrees of ability. I am dynamic and result-oriented and am committed to bring passion in learning, create multicultural awareness through teaching the fundamentals of English language. I teach both Adults and children. I can provide an excellent variety of activities and resources to stimulate and cater for different learning styles. I am committed to motivate learners. I am a hardworking and trustworthy educator.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching English at Birmingham Metropolitan College since 2006. I recently came from Georgia where I taught business English at Tbilisi State University. As an EAP teacher and a coordinator at university, I was in charge of making and organising mid-term and final exams, devising course resources, leading meetings and teaching a few advanced groups. I helped the Business students produce Business presentations, analyse the authentic texts from Harward Business Review, doing case studies and write assignments. I gained a wonderful experience of working with the students aged 17 and above, also I learnt how to manage time, organize things and be responsible for my job.
I am also experienced in working at private tuition centre where I delivered KS1/2English and Maths lessons. I devised appropriate learning resources for children, worked with them individually to teach phonics, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure etc and regularly measured their progress. I worked towards SATs examination and helped the children improve their scores at schools. Working with children was fun and interesting.
Tutoring Approach:
My main teaching approach will be primarily concentrated on kids/students. I believe that teaching should be learner-centred and the tutor should be able to work individually to the student/kid. I tend to write Individual learning plan for all kids, including targets, tests and reviews. according to this information, I am able to approach each child/student individually. I can demonstrate excellent planning and classroom management; can provide excellent variety of activities and resources to stimulate and cater for different learning styles. I always try to meet individual student's needs and take their goals into account; I build on their knowledge and experience.
