I am an examiner in both economics and business studies for two exam boards.
Tutoring Approach:
After an initial diagnostic assessment, the student and I negotiate an individualised study plan that builds upon the student's strengths and addresses any weaknesses. I tailor the tutoring style according to my students' individual needs and preferences. However, I do expect my students to undertake some effective preparatory work prior to each tutoring session so that we can focus on grade improvement rather than covering the fundamental concepts. The use of both case studies and past papers are key components of my tutoring approach. The sessions are normally interactive and aim to develop deep thinking skills so that students can tackle a range of economic and business related problems
I also provide an online support service and small class revision sessions prior to the exams.
Just to be up front, the rates quoted are for tuition at my home. When travelling to the student's home there will be additional travel expenses to be added.
