Personal Description:

I'm a friendly and professional native speaker who can help you with all aspects of your spoken and written English. Classes are tailored to your specific needs, for example:

- Exam preparation (for example IELTS, CAE, CPE, A-level, GCSE)
- English for academic study, including essay writing
- Business / professional English
- English through literature
- English through current affairs
- Grammar and punctuation (for both UK and overseas students)

Advanced students from overseas are especially welcome. First meeting free of charge.



Teaching Experience:

I have over five years of teaching experience in the UK, Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. I have taught at universities as well as at private language schools, and I have a great deal of experience of teaching one-to-one.



Tutoring Approach:

The great thing about one-to-one is that it all depends on the student! If you know exactly what you want to focus on, we can go straight into it. For students with less specific needs - for example international students who wish to practice their speaking - it is more a process of exploration. Over the first few lessons we will work together to discover your interests, your weaknesses and your strengths; I can then adapt the lessons so that you are learning what is really useful to you.

Qualifications:

  • BA English language and literature, New College, Oxford
  • MA European studies, Jagiellonian University, Krakow
  • Certificate in English language teaching to adults (CELTA)
  • MA English language teaching (ongoing)
