Georgios - Poplar tutor

Information About Georgios:

Personal Description:

Following my graduation with distinction from the University of Athens, I was awarded a scholarship to study towards my PhD at Imperial College London, which I obtained in 2008. Since then I have worked as a mathematician and an engineer for oil and financial companies in the UK and abroad.

At the same time I have been working part time as a private tutor for engineering related courses, focusing on Mathematics, Physics, Programming (especially Matlab, R, SQL and Python) and others.

I am flexible in the tutoring arrangements, offering mainly online tutoring as well as consulting services for coursework and bigger projects.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 10 years of experience in private tutoring in various fields such as Maths, Programming, Matlab, R, Python, Signal Processing, and Econometrics. I have taught students of all levels, from GCSE to graduate students in top UK universities, as well as professionals

In addition, I have taught undergraduate and post-graduate courses in Mathematics, Telecommunications and Signal Processing at Imperial College London from 2004 until 2009.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the purpose of every tutor is to give his tutee a thorough understanding of the respective course. Memorising and learning by heart cannot possible help anyone. Only by truly understanding the gist of each subject, will the student be able to take the most out of the tutoring and be able to tackle any possible problem given to him in the future.
