Personal Description:
An experienced examiner. Graduated in Chemistry (BSc) before completing an MSc in Analytical Chemistry, I have been tutoring A-level Chemistry for 10 years. I started tutoring during my PhD studies and have continued ever since. I have marked A-level Chemistry papers for a number of years. (AS Organic, Foundation and practical modules). The skills and experiences that I have acquired in industry have enabled me to bring to students not only the knowledge and skills such as creative thinking and problem solving but also context of real-world chemistry and examples to underpin A-level learning.
Teaching Experience:
Approximately 30 students over the last 10 years.
10 Years of marking A-level Chemistry papers.
Tutoring Approach:
Lessons will guide students through key topics essential to their AS level exams. Our sessions stick to and focus on the module syllabus reinforce rather than duplicate college learning.
Lessons will review fundamental concepts such as chemical bonding, atomic structure, and the principles governing chemical reactions. In addition, we will delve into the detail needed for the exams. My aim is to provide tailored support, equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in your AS level chemistry studies.
