Information About Colette:
Personal Description:
I am a student at the University of Cambridge in my second year, studying English Literature, along with some French literature. I have a very developed knowledge in this field, including literary theory, literature from Medieval times to the present, verse analysis, linguistics and the workings of the unconscious in literature. In addition, I have some knowledge of the Classics and their relation to modern literature, having studied Classical civilisations at A-level.
I also have A-levels in Politics (specialising in American politics) and French, which I have made an effort to keep up, and an AS level in History - my studies in literature are also intimately related to history, and so I have progressed my knowledge since AS level.
Teaching Experience:
Although I have no direct experience in teaching, I have experience in caring for children - in addition to being the eldest of four, I have done a lot of babysitting, and helped my younger siblings with school and college work.
Tutoring Approach:
I am enthusiastic and passionate about my studeies, and am confident in my ability to extend this enthusiasm to my students. I am also well-organised and believe I culd be helpful in directing others' learning.
