Personal Description:

I have been described by some of my former students as bubbly, friendly and approachable and have been known to put even the most nervous and timid students at ease. I have a background in lecturing, tuition, childcare and special needs in a range of subjects, levels and settings. My personal interests include film, photography, television, music, art and literature which I am keen to employ as methods of learning and development with my students. I have 3 young children of my own and also work as a sales assistant. I also offer proof reading and copy writing services as well as a distance tuition service.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to tailor my tutoring approach to the specific individual or group and to enable students to simplify their approach to studying while balancing their workload with other commitments. I am aware that the standard classroom approach does not always suit everyone and I aim to find interesting ways in which to help the student grasp the subject matter. I am particularly interested in using media as a learning and development tool.
