Personal Description:

I am a trilingual 26 year tutor based in Stoke Newington with over 8 year's experience of teaching French and Spanish at all levels. I also work part-time managing a Creative Campaigns project for an East London based charity.

I have previously worked as a freelance presenter of day-long revision and memory technique workshops in schools across the UK. I use many of the skills I developed delivering these workshops to enhance my classes, tailoring them to the students' needs and helping them to think creatively about learning a language.


I grew up in Belgium and France and am fluent in French. I studied French as my first language in the International Baccalaureat (equivalent to A-Levels). I am also fluent in Spanish, having lived in Spain and Ecuador for 3 years. I studied Spanish as part of my university course and spent a year studying at the Law Department of a university in Barcelona.

I really enjoy tutoring and endeavor to make each lesson as creative, fun and useful as I can.

Teaching Experience:

I tutored in French and Spanish throughout my time in college and university, I have taught students from age 10 right through to university level.

I taught English as a second language to adults during my year at the University of Girona.

I have worked as a freelance presenter in schools, delivering workshops on memory & revision techniques.

I have worked in a number of schools in London delivering Arts-based Citizenship workshops.

Tutoring Approach:

I really enjoy tutoring and have worked in a number of very different environments, from delivering Study Skills seminars in schools to working with university students who wanted a more informal style of tutoring. I am happy to adapt to your choice of style and endeavor to take up any challenges you present!

Having been trained in revision techniques I am aware of the very different styles of learning that people may have and the importance of understanding this. I can adapt my style of tutoring to your style of learning. I am regularly involved in Film and Theatre projects so I have quite a creative style of tutoring, finding ways to make the subject more engaging, relevant or understandable.

• 6/7 International Baccalaureat French A1
