Gatis - Oxford tutor
Information About Gatis:
Personal Description:
Hi,
I am a recent Oxford graduate in physics who has now settled in Oxford with the vision of taking a year or two out of academia and then pursuing a PhD. I'm 24, young and energetic. My school days are still fresh in my mind, which makes it easy to empathise with my students!
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching students in my home country (Latvia) for the equivalent of A-level physics. Now in Oxford, I have several mathematics students at the moment at levels ranging from Key Stage 3 to AS.
Would be especially interested to take up somebody in physics/science.
Tutoring Approach:
Varies slightly on the need.
Generally, I like a hands-on approach.
I love explaining new material, but I also try to make plenty of opportunity for the student to attempt questions himself/herself. And provide support along the way. I believe the satisfaction and hands-on experience of being able to crack real questions oneself counts for a lot when exam time arrives.
