I am a single 36 year old who lives in Sheffield. I am a highly intelligent graduate who likes to keep fit by playing football and tennis. I am a friendly, hard-working and down-to-earth individual who enjoys learning new things.

Tutoring Approach:

I know you have to enjoy learning in order to get the most out of it. Therefore I would come across to my tutees as relaxed, with a desire to make learning fun and interesting. It may help the tutee to stress that learning is a habit, you can learn anything if you have good study skills. I haver spent most of my life in Education and so have studied many different subjects; For example, French as part of my degree course and Spanish to 'A' level standard at evening class, and Year 1 Italian. I have trained as a Basic Skills tutor in Literacy and Numeracy and also taught these subjects to primary school children and young adults. This is what makes me a good tutor, having gained experience of working with different age groups in different settings- Colleges, community centres, primary schools. I know a lot of school subject type information but also know how to explain it in layman's terms.
