Personal Description:

I am currently undertaking my undergraduate degree course in BSc Mathematical Science. My outside interests include fencing, jazz dancing, and playing tennis. In all I am a reliable, hard working, and adaptable individual. I keep calm under pressure, and have a good sense of humour and the ability to get on well with all types of people.



Teaching Experience:

I have tutored students in Mathematics ranging from upper primary school age to A-level. I have tutored some for their GCSEs and A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively.



Tutoring Approach:

Having tutored students of different ages and abilities I realise the need to be flexible to each student's individual needs. Therefore, I would ideally like to speak to the student and/or parents before the first session to find out what they would like to achieve from the tuition. I will then centre my tuition on this. If the student needs help preparing for an exam, I will use the syllabus and past papers as a guide. If they are primary school age and struggling I will split the topics into manageable chunks and try to be as interactive as possible. I always plan my sessions in advance, look things up where necessary and make use of resources I have and those on the internet.

Qualifications:

  • 8 GCSE's which include Science (AA) and Mathematics (A) respectively.
  • A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.
