Personal Description:
I am a Physics graduate from the University of Surrey. At present I am doing my PGCE at the University of Reading, training to teach science at secondary level.
I am a patient and reliable person and take the responsibility of tutoring seriously, always aiming to help students achieve their full potential.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught in a Saturday school for four years, teaching Maths and English at key stage one and two.
I have been working as a private tutor for three years. In that time have tutored at all levels, from key stage one up to GCSE, and have taught Maths and Sciences. I have experience in tutoring students in preparation for SAT's and GCSE exams and also teaching students who are underachieving.
Tutoring Approach:
I am flexible with my approach to tutoring. By first finding out how the student learns best, I tailor my teaching methods to suit them. I teach in line with the student's syllabus and school textbook and give homework to either test a students understanding or allow them to think further about a topic or problem.
