Information About Emma:
Personal Description:
I am a confident, outgoing and friendly graduate with a passion for music and learning. I attending Oxford University and have always enjoyed both sharing and my own and learning new skills. I love film and literature as well as socialising and meeting new people. I am a caring person and am always keen to help people.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching experience has been within the field of music. I have taught private bassoon and singing lessons and also taught beginner theory.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to use a heuristic style of teaching so that the student does not feel they are being dictated to. I believe for the student to feel as though they have reached the conclusion themselves without being told is more rewarding. I also enjoy an interactive lesson, especially if leaning music, so that different topics are taught in different ways so as to keep the students attention and engagement with the subject. Overall i want to make learning fun and not something that they are going to dread.
