Personal Description:

I am 22 years old and have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a high 2.1 degree in History. In my free time I enjoy travelling to places where I can meet new people and learning about different cultures.

I enjoy working with people and have a calm, patient and friendly manner.



Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching:
KS3 English
KS2 maths
GCSE maths
A level history

Can offer advice on university applications (including Oxbridge) for history.

At university I have worked on many access initiative events. These encourage children from traditionally underachieving schools and backgrounds to continue onto higher education. I have enjoyed finding ways to communicate with these students as individuals and encouraging them to study further.



Tutoring Approach:

I am passionate about my subject and am keen to encourage a similar enthusiasm in others. As well as teaching history I am able to assist students with other essay-based subjects. In particular, I would like to teach English Literature which I studied to A-level. I can also teach Economics to AS level and Maths to GCSE. Having done extensive work for admissions and access initiatives at university I would also be delighted to assist with UCAS personal statements or Oxbridge applications.

I am friendly and approachable and strongly believe in an encouraging and supportive approach to learning.
