Personal Description:

I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences in 2005 (2.1). I have completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (2007) and the Legal Practice Course (2008) from the College of Law, both with Distinction.



Teaching Experience:

During my gap year, after graduation, I tutored students one-to-one in 'A' Level Physics and Chemistry. Both my students received 'A' grades. More recently, I tutored a student AS Chemistry for her recent exams.



Tutoring Approach:

I firstly ensure my students understand the basics, and wherever possible try to develop their interest in the subject by taking them beyond the syllabus. I believe it is important to understand how concepts tie in with each other, and to see the 'bigger picture', which is invaluable for students taking their subjects onto a higher level. At the same time, it is of course important to understand the importance of achieving high marks in the final exams. So, to this end, I focus heavily on past papers of the relevant exam board, and scrutinise sample mark schemes with the students, so that they can see how the examiners will award them marks.
