Information About Jackie:
Personal Description:
I live in Bristol and am committed to supporting people of all ages to go beyond their usual limiting conversations about themselves and their ability to fulfil their dreams. Speaking Spanish has allowed me to discover many areas that I would not have been familiar with if I had not developed that skill.
Teaching Experience:
I have 23 years working experience in Spain and the UK. I have taught for 19 years in the UK University sector while also having been a guest tutor in Spain, teaching intensive courses in English as a Foreign Language for MA Business students. Prior to that, I qualified as a Secondary teacher of Spanish and French, teaching 11-18 year olds. I also taught a number of adult education classes. I continue to enjoy Qualified Teacher Status.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that learning can only take place if there is commitment to achieving something which inspires the student. I consider that the role of the tutor is to expand the inspiration to learn.
