Personal Description:
Hi there,
I'm a female who is currently about to go into year 13 at College to complete my A Levels. I am posting to offer my services as a private tutor for those who may need a little extra help at school. I am not professionally qualified as a teacher, however, I have achieved excellent qualifications so far in my academia and have been told many times that I would make a good teacher.
I can make home visits and sessions would most likely last for one to two hours at a time. Please do not expect miracles but if you feel that the progress made is not sufficient enough then you are not obligated to commit to any more sessions.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching experience goes as far as helping my friends and classmates with a concept that has been taught in the classroom but they have struggled with. I have also conducted several lessons for students in a junior school and in years 7, 8 and 9 concerning PSHE issues.
I am confident that I will make an excellent tutor at highly competitive rates so please consider me.
Tutoring Approach:
I have always been a firm believer that learning is personal and thus it cannot be assumed that every person is suited to the same style of teaching. Once I get to know a student, I will find the areas which are of most concern and get an idea of what learning styles will be most effective.
I have the advantage over many tutors that I am currently fully immersed in the education system... on the receiving end. This is beneficial as not only am I aware of a range of teaching methods, I know what does and does not work. In this way I am very adaptable unlike many teachers and tutors who can be 'set in their ways'.
