Jordan - Brighton tutor

Information About Jordan:

Personal Description:

I am 22 years old and am originally from Edinburgh. I have been at the University of Bristol for the past 4 years studying for my MSci Mathematics and Physics. I have just completed my degree with Double First Class Honours and I was also awarded the 'Sir Nevill Mott Award' for the best student on the math-phys course. I am currently living In Brighton with my dad for the summer holidays before I start my Ph.D. in Quantum Physics at Cambridge University.

Teaching Experience:

I was carefully selected out of a large group of students to teach Maths, Physics and Chemistry at a high achieving school in Portishead for three weeks as part of the SAS team (Students Associate Scheme) ran by the University of Bristol. Following a course of teacher training sessions, I was responsible for teaching small groups of GCSE and A-level students. I also assisted in working alongside the teacher in larger classes of 30 students. The role also had many other responsibilities such as conducting pupil interviews and questionnaires and then inputting the results on the school database system. In addition to this, I played a crucial role in the organization and running of the school science week.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very easy going and my approach is fairly informal however I am more than happy to change my teaching approach dependent on my students needs.
