Personal Description:
Throughout the duration of my LLB Law degree I often expressed an interest in teaching law. I have always found the legal aspect interesting; the way in which I was taught by some tutors and lecturers has left an expression with me.
The most important reason for wishing to teach in the post compulsory sector relates directly to my experience of working and providing private tuition. Therefore I feel that I am best suited in this sector as the experience of teaching A level Law has been rewarding and I would be able to provide more in depth knowledge and expertise in this area.
I am of the view that when you are teaching students at any level you are making a difference by developing their knowledge, through what you have learnt.
Teaching Experience:
My Experiences I have been providing private tuition in regards to A level Law.
1 - Case, principle and application (developing legal argument)
We have discussions about the legal principles of law and to a great deal I have helped them to understand the legal terminology of 'case, principle and application' something that I learnt through my study of Law. I find that my commitment to them in achieving a good grade is of the up most importance, as I receive great satisfaction when they go home understanding something that I have helped them with.
Tutoring Approach:
I am aware of the nature of teaching adults and the issues associated with planning, preparation, delivery, assessment and the evaluation of learning .
Demonstrate effective practice across a variety of teaching and learning contexts, including monitoring, assessments, and evaluation
Plan and prepare teaching and learning programmes for groups and individuals
Analyse the critical relationship between assessment an learning
Evaluate the effectiveness of different styles of teaching and learning
Evaluate own performance and plan future practice
Meet professional requirements through working within a professional value base and conforming to agree codes of professional practice
