Information About Jane:


Personal Description:

I am a recent graduate of Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Primary and Secondary Education specialising in Mathematics. I am very enthusiastic about my subject and greatly enjoy passing on my knowledge to others and helping them to understand this subject.



Teaching Experience:

I am currently a supply teacher working in a number of schools working with children of all ages. Although I specialise in Mathematics, I teach all subjects at the Primary level. Working in a variety of schools means that I am able to see lots of different teaching styles and approaches and that I can see methods that work particularly well. I have worked in both state and private schools.



Tutoring Approach:

Every child learns differently and so the tutoring needs to be tailored to the pupils own learning style whilst preparing them for exams or the work ahead in school. I will work at the child's pace whilst ensuring that they are achieving their full potential. My lessons will be purposeful, with a clear aim, but will also interest the pupil through using a range of activities. I have been told that my strengths in teaching are my knowledge of my specialist subject, my ability to set appropriate teaching and learning objectives and successfully monitoring and assessing pupils' progress.
