Personal Description:

I have been teaching for five years and have an open and approachable personality. I enjoy teaching on a one to one basis with all ages and try to build a friendly relationship with my student. I have young children of my own and know how important it is to choose the best person to fulfill your child's potential.



Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher with five years experience. I work with young people on a one to one basis teaching English, basic literacy (reading and writing) and study skills. I specialise in teaching those with mild learning difficulties such as dyslexia, and have a wide experience of teaching adults as well as children. I can also offer support to those studying for GCSE English.



Tutoring Approach:

I am non-judgmental and allow students to work at their own pace, with no pressure. I tailor my teaching to accommodate the student's learning style including those with a more practical and creative nature. Students will learn best if they are doing something they enjoy, and I make use of educational games and quizzes, sometimes computer based, to reinforce learning. For adult learners I follow the Adult Literacy Core Curriculum as recommended by the government's Department for Children, Schools and Families.
