Personal Description:

As a qualified and experienced teacher of Mathematics I look forward to making Mathematics as easy and clear as possible by taking the student from their own starting point and moving them forward. I prefer to use real world examples to introduce and reinforce basic and advanced mathematical principles. My postgraduate professional qualifications have provided a sound academic basis for successful techniques in Mathematics learning.



Teaching Experience:

Over 13 years of Mathematics teaching experience in Secondary and Preparatory Schools, to pupils of all abilities and withing the age range 6 to 18 years.



Tutoring Approach:

The discovery method based on the work of Ausubel (1968), the Cockcroft Report (1981) has proved effective and efficient in allowing the learning to take place in a safe environment. I use the recent and relevant documents produced by the National Assembly for Wales as a starting point, alongside the students' own classwork.
