Information About Jason:
Personal Description:
I graduated from Nottingham University with a 1st class degree in History. I live in Hammersmith but have a car and am willing to travel to tutor. Outside of work I am a keen sportsman and regularly play football and cricket.
Teaching Experience:
I qualified as an 'outstanding' teacher in 2006 and have taught a range of abilities and different learning styles. I'm particularly skilled in pupil level intervention at the highest and lower levels, specifically on increasing student outcomes. I am currently a Lead Teacher in History and therefore have an excellent knowledge of examination requirements and what is required to achieve success.
Tutoring Approach:
Tutoring has to be enjoyable otherwise a student's potential won't be realised! I will always try and make any session as appropriate for an individual student's needs as possible, and always try and teach knowledge and skills (exams answers, essay structure and source analysis) alongside one another.
