Personal Description:
I enjoy teaching as I find it rewarding when students, given personal and individual attention, finally understand the concepts that they are learning. I am considered very friendly and bubbly in my teaching style, therefore I give students constant praise in order to motivate them. I however am also professional, so request that students complete homework which are little tests to keep them on their personal learning track.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching students with varying educational needs for the last ten years. My teaching experience has involved both adults and younger children who have difficulty with the basics of English and Maths. I am currently teaching literacy and numeracy within a school which is considered to be amongst the top four in the area. Prior to this I taught within two colleges and a community group offering additional educational support to students who had dropped out of mainstream education.
Tutoring Approach:
During the last 5 years I have taught Children and adults that have required additional help in Maths and English . I find this particularly rewarding as it has reaped many successes. I have also taught a variety of students, those just needing extra tuition in English and Maths, but also students who have displayed dyslexic tendencies. My success with students is due to my ability to introduce mathematical and literacy principles and rules from different angles and in a patient but interesting manner.
