Personal Description:

I have recently submitted my PhD thesis and I am looking forward to a career in teaching. I enjoy teaching and working with young people and I believe that I have what it takes to be a good teacher. I have experience of teaching foundation and undergraduate level engineering students. I also have supervised undergraduate and masters students in their final year projects. My students always respected me and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere I kept with them yet I was able to focus their attention on task at hand. I also have strong IT and computer skills that will be an advantage in this job. My first degree is Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. I have excellent skills in engineering subjects like mathematics, physics and related sciences.



Teaching Experience:

Since Feb 2002 I have been working as demonstrator, tutor and teaching assistance for departments of Physics, Materials, and Science and Engineering Foundation Program (SEFP). I have been teaching Math and Physics to foundation students, and first year, 2nd year engineering students. I also have delivered math lectures to first year engineering students.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a friendly personality and allow my students to approach me at their own level. I am able to focus their attention at the task at hand and get the results. I appreciate that my students ask me as many questions as they want. I consider the needs of every student and tailor my teaching method accordingly.
