Personal Description:
I work in the actuarial field where I use mathematical modelling to provide solutions to business problems. Teaching others has always come easy to me. I find teaching on a one-to-one basis fun and enjoy the challenge of helping my students to achieve their objectives and realize their potential.
Teaching Experience:
My private teaching experience spans a period of over 10 years. I have successfully tutored students for 11 + and entrance examinations to selective/ private schools and at a Saturday school I taught mathematics to a variety of students from ages 5 to 16. I have considerable experience in coaching students for GCSE, A-level and have worked with mature students studying university access courses. Part of my role at work is to teach less experienced colleagues mathematical concepts.
Tutoring Approach:
From my initial assessment I devise a plan tailored to suit my student's needs. I approach each topic creatively using the teaching method that I believe would best suit my student. My aim is to make the learning process a rewarding experience and by giving regular feedback motivate and build my student's confidence so that he/she will be able to realize their goals.
